Also a great recipe to use up those thanksgiving/holiday leftovers! Feel free to follow the recipe to the T or substitute veggies for whatever your dog likes.
Ingredients
1 lb minced turkey
1 large grated carrot (about 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup pumpkin purée or sweet potato
1/3 cup kale or spinach
1 egg
1 tsp turmeric
1 cup ground oats (or flour)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- In a large mixing bowl combine turkey, carrot, pumpkin, turmeric and egg. Mix that together and then slowly add the oats or flour until all combined.
- Mixture will be sticky but should still be workable and you should be able to roll into balls. If too sticky add more oats or flour.
- Roll into balls and place on baking sheet or pan.
- Bake for 30 mins. Remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled serve immediately or keep covered in fridge for up to 1 week.
