- May reduce joint pain and arthritis pain — Curcumin is loaded with anti-inflammatory properties. Just like in humans, Chronic inflammation is a major cause of joint pain and arthritis in dogs and Turmeric may help alleviate discomfort.
- Can improve digestive health — The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric help to improve your dog’s digestive health.
- Improves heart health — Curcumin has blood thinning properties, and can help decrease blood clots in the heart. *Possibly Prevents Cancer – A 2016 study of several different plant extracts reported that turmeric was the most effective in preventing new cancer cell growth in dogs.

hoursHow to make Turmeric golden paste for dogs
Ingredients
1/2 cup turmeric
1 cup water ( +/- depending on the consistency you’re looking for)
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 cup Ghee (or coconut oil)
Directions
- Heat a saucepan on Medium/Low
- Add water and turmeric to saucepan and stir continuously until it starts to thicken. Approx 3-5 mins.
- If too thick add more water, 1tsp at a time until desired consistency. If too think, add in more turmeric, again 1 tap at a time.
- Add pepper and Ghee and whisk until combined.
- Remove from heat and let sit 5 mins.
- Once cooled transfer to glass mason jar or container. You can also freeze in molds or ice cube trays.
