Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 banana – mashed
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mash banana and add to mixing bowl along with peanut butter. Add flour and mix well until dough forms
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll dough about 1/4 thick. Cut out into desired shapes. I used a piping bag coupler to get this circle shape.
- Bake on parchment covered baking sheet about 20 mins. Let cool and store in covered container or ziplock. These do well covered on the counter for about 3 days – or keep in the fridge for up two weeks.

I love this recipe! Super easy to make, and exactly what I needed to make small training bites for our German shepherds.
I tripled the recipe, and found I can use a 1.25 litre plastic soda bottle as a biscuit cutter- just stamp a few into the bottle, then squeeze the bottle to pop them out onto the tray.
For smaller ones, I used my husband’s “pill making” tray, but it took a bit of wrangling. I’m looking into finding a cutter more like yours. Thank you for this!
Hi Renee, Wow so happy to hear you enjoy making this recipe for your sheps! Thanks for the great tip too, never thought about using a soda bottle as a cutter, I’ll give it a try next time! 🙂
This was so easy! I have an 8 week old golden and she does not allow enough time to really do much. She is so busy and energetic. I haven’t introduced flour or peanut butter yet so I made a half batch, froze 3/4 of that and just rolled the dough into small rods, cut them and placed them all over the cookie sheet. Baked as directed but leaving them in the open oven to cool and crisp up. Beautifully fast!!! Thanks 🙏🏻 😊
