Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked puréed beets

  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or flour of your choice)

  • 2 tbls honey

  • 1 tbls coconut oil

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Add cooked beets to food processor or blender (if you don’t have either, you can mash them up) and purée.
  • Add beets, 1 cup flour, honey and coconut oil to large bowl and mix with wooden spoon until dough forms. You may or may not need the left over 1/2 cup of flour. Don’t be afraid to mix it up with your hands if it’s taking a while to Incorporate the flour. If dough is too sticky to roll out, add more flour.
  • Place dough on lightly floured surface and roll out until desired thickness. I did about 1/2 inch thick. Use whichever shape cutters you have on hand or, if you don’t have any, easily cut dough into squares.
  • Bake in 350 oven for 20 mins. Let cool and treat your furry Valentine! ♥️
  • Store in container or ziplock for 3 days or in fridge for up to one week.
