Can Dogs Eat Avocado? YES! | Easy Frozen Avocado Dog Treat Recipe

Many people believe avocado to be poisonous or dangerous for dogs (it’s the skin and pit that are dangerous) – and although too much avocado can cause some problems, If used in moderation, avocado is actually a great way to get healthy nutrients into your pet food recipes!

Just like for humans, Antioxidants found in avocados may help support a dogs immune system. They are Full of omega fatty acids which also work as anti-inflammorties. Avocados are also great for improving the glossiness of your dogs coat and skin health. The nutritional benefits of avocado include:

🥑 Omega fatty acids—responsible for a healthy and shiny coat

Easy Frozen Avocado Dog Treats

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced avocado (I used frozen)

  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce

  • 1 cup water

Directions

  • Blend until smooth
  • Scoop into paw print molds or ice cube trays and freeze minimum 2-3 hours.
  • Serve in moderation
